Biography

In the early 1990s, Jeanne Egbosiuba joined the U.S. Peace Corps and was sent to Africa. After three months of intensive training, Jeanne went to a small village to teach mathematics, English, and physics at a secondary school. She lived without electricity, running water or flush toilets. Jeanne learned Swahili, a few words and phrases in a local tribal language and a lot about African culture. Since her Peace Corps service, Jeanne has been researching all aspects of African Culture and writing about African Culture since 1997. She is editor of the African Culture topic at Bellaonline.com and also writes AllThingsKenyan.com. Jeanne is married to a Nigerian from the Igbo tribe and currently lives in Florida with her husband and children.
